The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and Universitas Warmadewa (UNWAR) of Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 7, 2025, in preparation for the upcoming International Conference on Education, Environment, and Agriculture (ICEEA). The ICEEA, originally established by CBSUA, will be hosted this year by UNWAR for the first time.
Dr. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez, CBSUA’s Vice President for Research and Innovation and Conference Chair for ICEEA 2025, delivered a warm message of welcome to all participants. She recognized the collaborative efforts aimed at advancing research that addresses pressing issues in education, the environment, and agriculture.
Ms. Marlene Ramos, Research Coordinator of CBSUA-Calabanga Campus, presented the rationale behind the partnership. The program then proceeded to the formal MOA signing. Present at the signing were Dr. Dariel Palmiano, University Research Services Director, along with the research coordinators from CBSUA’s four campuses. Also in attendance were the research counterparts from UNWAR, led by their rector.
Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gde Suranaya Pandit, M.P., Rector of UNWAR, reaffirmed the university’s full support for the successful conduct of ICEEA 2025. In response, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, President of CBSUA, emphasized how this partnership strengthens global academic and research collaboration.
This joint effort is another testament to CBSUA’s commitment to championing and globalizing research initiatives.
