CBSUA, DAR FINALIZE TERMS OF PROPOSED PARTNERSHIP

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) met with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Office of Camarines Sur II on July 15, 2025, to discuss and finalize matters concerning their forthcoming partnership.

The collaboration aims to build the capacity of Agrarian Reform Program Officers/Development Facilitators and empower Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) with skills related to agri-entrepreneurship. The meeting focused on reviewing the terms of the proposed Memorandum of Agreement and outlining the activities to be undertaken.

A dynamic discussion led to the expansion of the initial plans, including the involvement of other government agencies whose support is expected to be beneficial for both the project and its intended beneficiaries. The finalization of the partnership is still in progress, with the next meeting scheduled for the first week of August.

DAR was represented by Engr. Aiza B. Mendez, OIC-Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer; and Senior Agrarian Reform Program Officers Ms. Jessa E. Valencia and Ms. Monica O. Camacho. Representing CBSUA were Dr. Jayson Danas, Director of the Technology Commercialization and Production Division; Mr. Buster Ibarbia, Project Development Officer II; and Engr. Dulce Maria Abigail Alto Jastio.
