In a bid to capture Central Bicol State University of Agriculture’s effective approaches in various areas of educational and administrative management, the Naga College Foundation, Inc., conducted a benchmarking visit on August 5, 2025, held at the Quality Assurance Hub.
The NCF delegation was composed of the following officials: Ms. Sheila Balid-Bordado, VP for Digital Transformation/Director for Quality Assurance; Ms. Teenarose Castroverde, SP for Admin and Institutional Affairs; Ms. Gemma Foronda, Director for Presidential Affairs; Mr. Brenn Yulo Bacus, Training and Communications Manager; and Mx. Ma. Daryl Vernise Martinez, Accreditation Coordinator.
Dr. Emerson Bergonio, the CBSUA’s VP for Academic Affairs, welcomed the delegation to the university. In his message, he expressed his hopes of being able to attain the goals of the team in the benchmarking visit.
The NCF team particularly looked into CBSUA’s key areas of academic excellence, technological infrastructure, learning facilities, ISO 9001, institutional and program accreditation, and international accreditation and ranking. These areas were discussed by the respective directors of the offices responsible for the institutional functions.
An open forum was conducted for a deeper understanding of the discussed areas for benchmarking.
Concluding the activity was a message from Dr. Balid-Bordado. She briefly imparted some of the NCF’s institutional best practices that CBSUA may also learn from. She expressed her profound gratitude to CBSUA for providing them a comprehensive view of the university’s effective methodologies in various areas of institutional management. In addition, the NCF team conveyed their desire to formalize the partnership between the two academic institutions, solidifying their joint goals for collaboration.
