The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) officially welcomed its newest members with the successful conduct of the SIRANG 2025: Orientation-Seminar for Freshmen, Transferees, and Returnees. Held from August 13 to 15, the three-day event took place simultaneously across the university’s campuses in Pili, Pasacao, and Calabanga, providing a vital introduction to university life.
With the theme “Paving the Way Forward: Growing with Purpose, Thriving with Possibilities,” the orientation was designed to instill in students the proactive mindset necessary for future leaders. It underscored CBSUA’s commitment to cultivating individuals who will not only excel academically but also become catalysts for sustainable change, addressing societal and environmental challenges with purpose and innovation.
Throughout the seminar, students were engaged in comprehensive sessions detailing the university’s Mission and Vision, giving them a deeper understanding of its core values of excellence and community service. Representatives from various departments offered in-depth discussions on crucial aspects of campus life, from promoting environmental stewardship through the Environmental Management System (EMS) Policies to ensuring student well-being via Health and Wellness Services. Other key topics included academic and organizational support from Student Services, the promotion of inclusivity through Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives, and the celebration of Filipino language and culture by the Sentro ng Wika, Kultura at Sining.
The knowledge and resources shared during the orientation equipped the students with the tools they will need to navigate their academic journey successfully. As the event concluded, new and returning students were encouraged to take initiative, seize opportunities, and fully embrace CBSUA’s values. The SIRANG 2025 served as more than just an introduction to campus life; it was a call to action, inspiring students to embark on their educational paths with purpose and to thrive with endless possibilities. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘴.
