The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), together with Fundación de Religiosos para la Salud (FRS), the Local Government of Pili, and the Goat Raisers Association of Camarines Sur (GRACS), conducted a Technical and Social Enterprise Consultation on August 14, 2025, for two women’s cooperatives engaged in goat production in Pili, Camarines Sur.
The activity was led by Prof. Vladimir R. Foronda, Director of CBSUA’s Extension Services Division, and Mary Joyce Armea, FRS Coordinator, with the participation of selected officers from the Bagong Sirang-Himaao Ladies Producers Cooperative and the Pili Highland
Agriculture Cooperative.
Roy Nelson G. Layosa, President of GRACS, shared his expertise on goat raising and designs for the proposed goat farm, while Basil Layosa, representative from MAO-Pili, conveyed support for the project’s development. Cooperative technical expert and social enterprise consultant Joseph B. Nieva (CANR faculty), together with Lea L. Pacao (CEM faculty), also provided insights on goat management, cooperative enterprise development, and farm planning.
