Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) tourism management students recently participated in the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 5’s training workshop on the ‘Filipino Brand of Excellence’ on September 10, 2025, at the university auditorium. The event, a collaboration between the DOT and CBSUA’s Department of Tourism Management, was attended by fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students specializing in Agritourism.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Iris Angela Manjon-Muñoz, DOT Region 5 Training Officer and certified FBSE trainer. She led engaging discussions on customer service, communication skills, and empathy, highlighting the unique Filipino brand of service—rooted in warmth, respect, and genuine care.
Students also learned the H.E.A.R.T. (hear, empathize, apologize, respond, and thank) method in handling complaints and the value of Filipino core values in delivering world-class service. The activity supports the DTM’s mission to instill hospitality, professionalism, and quality service to its BSTM students and future-ready tourism industry professionals. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘚𝘪𝘳 𝘌𝘯𝘳𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦 𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘰 𝘝𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳, 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘉𝘚𝘜𝘈-𝘋𝘛𝘔
