In the true spirit of bayanihan and volunteerism, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) extended its support to the Copenhagen Infrastructure New Market Fund Philippines Corporation (CI NMF [PH] Corp.), the representative of the first major European investor in renewable energy under the bio-circular green and blue economy initiative of Metro Naga and the nearby San Miguel Bay coastal municipalities, through the repacking and storage of typhoon relief goods.
The activity, held on November 7, 2025, at the CBSUA Ecotel, was spearheaded by the CBSUA Resilience Center (CRC) and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Unit (DRRMU), with the active participation of student volunteer groups, including the Gryphon Fire Volunteers, Disaster Response and Recovery Operation Unit, and the CBSUA College Red Cross Youth Council. Together, they successfully repacked truckloads of canned goods, sacks of rice, noodles, coffee, and other essential non-perishable items intended for families affected by recent calamities.
Demonstrating the University’s enduring commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, the initiative showcased CBSUA’s belief in compassion, unity, and collective action during times of need. Through volunteerism, the CBSUA community continues to nurture the values of service, empathy, and resilience among its students, empowering them to become proactive citizens dedicated to helping communities recover and rebuild across the Bicol Region.
