The San Miguel Bay Research and Innovation (SMBRI) Center of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Calabanga Campus convened with the Department of Science and Technology-National Research Council of the Philippines (DOST-NRCP) for the Inception Meeting of the project, “Spatial Dynamics and Governance of Mangrove Forests in San Miguel Bay: A GIS-Based Analysis for Sustainable Management” (FY 2025 Project No. E-283) on 18 November 2025 at The Nesting Place, Bigaas, Calabanga.
The meeting was led by Asst. Prof. Agnes Z. Faustino, Director of the Institute of Fisheries and Allied Sciences and Head of the SMBRI Center, together with Ms. Beverly Mae N. dela Cruz, Chief Science Research Specialist of DOST–NRCP. The activity gathered faculty researchers from CBSUA’s Calabanga, Pili, and Sipocot Campuses, along with a faculty researcher from Bicol University and a representative from the Municipal Agriculture Office of Siruma.
