The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), in collaboration with Iriga City Science High School (ICSHS), actively participated in a symposium focused on exploring research opportunities and strengthening research culture in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), held on January 16, 2026, at Keith Joshua’s Catering Services and Function Hall, San Isidro, Iriga City.
The activity brought together students, teachers, and professionals for a full day of learning, discussion, and idea-sharing, creating a space for meaningful conversations on the vital role of research in innovation, problem-solving, and national development.
Sharing their knowledge were faculty members from the CBSUA College of Development Education, Dr. Kennedy A. Beltran, PhD, and Mr. Renzo Borja, who guided participants in strengthening their research skills and deepening their academic curiosity. They were joined by speakers from Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC), Engr. Martin D. Valeras Jr. and Engr. Jose Eduardo B. Cerillo II, who shared practical and industry-based perspectives on STEM research and innovation.
CBSUA continues to support initiatives such as this symposium, reflecting its commitment to collaboration and capacity-building, while looking forward to strengthening partnerships with secondary schools and higher education institutions to further promote STEM education, research, and innovation across the region. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘌𝘚𝘋
