VOICE ABLAZE, TRUTH UPHELD: CAB SECURED OVERALL 4TH RUNNER-UP FINISH; FOUR SCRIBES BOUND FOR LHEPC

The College Artisans Bulletin (CAB) upheld its legacy of excellence at the 23rd Regional Tertiary Schools Press Conference (RTSPC), held on January 28–30, 2026, at Partido State University (ParSU) in Goa, Camarines Sur.

Competing under the theme “VOICES ABLAZE: Campus Journalists as Vigilant Truth Tellers,” CAB fielded 16 delegates who vied against 31 campus publications and 356 of Bicol’s finest student journalists. Through their collective efforts, CAB emerged as the Overall 4th Runner-Up Best Publication, reaffirming its reputation as one of the region’s consistent contenders in campus journalism.

Building on its strong regional performance, four CAB staffers qualified for the 20th Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC), set to take place on March 17–19, 2026, in Tuguegarao City.

CAB recognized the dedication, discipline, and commitment of all 16 delegates, emphasizing that the publication’s achievements were the result of collective effort and teamwork.

‎Joy B. Cabaltea, Editor-in-Chief of The College Artisans Bulletin, was elected as the Treasurer of the Bicol Association of Student Campus Journalists (BASCaJ).

‎The CAB extends its sincere gratitude to Prof. Rowel M. Castuera, Campus Administrator, and Prof. Charmayn N. Nate, OSAS Coordinator, for their continued institutional support of campus journalism. Also, to Archie A. Perpetua, publication adviser, for training and helping the students in narrating stories that matters to the academe and community.

‎The publication likewise thanks its advisers, mentors, the RTSPC organizers, and Partido State University for sustaining a platform that promotes press freedom and journalistic excellence.

‎CAB’s performance at the 23rd RTSPC forms part of a continuing legacy shaped by generations of campus journalists committed to principled and courageous reporting. Beyond awards, the publication remains a platform for student voices, committed to truth, integrity, and public service as it prepares for the LHEPC and future competitions.
