The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the Office of Student Affairs and Services – Career and Job Placement Unit, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, conducted Launchpad 2026: Ready, Set, Career: Igniting Your Path to Success on June 10, 2026, at the CBSUA Student Atrium in Pili.
More than 1,100 graduating students, alumni, and job seekers from nearby communities attended the job fair, which provided opportunities for on-site applications, recruitment, and access to various employment facilitation services.
The activity opened with welcome messages from Dr. Allan B. Del Rosario, Campus Administrator of CBSUA-Pili, and Dr. Jessel Anne P. Rodriguez, Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS). This was followed by a seminar on job-search strategies conducted by Camarines Sur PESO Manager Rodresha A. Torallo and an inspirational message from Pili Mayor Marivic B. Solano.
A total of five local employers and twelve government agencies participated in the activity, offering career opportunities and employment assistance across different industries and sectors. Participating agencies included the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Pag-IBIG Fund, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), Social Security System (SSS), and the Provincial Health Office of Camarines Sur, which also facilitated YAKAP registration services. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP-Pili) and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Naga District Jail likewise presented career opportunities in public safety and corrections services.
Also joining the job fair were local employers such as Bicol Jl Agri Corporation, Farmstation Agri-Vet, Natcorp Career Growth and Manpower Services Inc., One Source General Solution Inc., and Sutherland Global Services Inc., providing participants with employment opportunities and information on available vacancies.
The activity served as a venue for participants to connect directly with prospective employers and government service providers. Aside from the recruitment activities, participants also gained practical insights on career preparation and employment opportunities through the job-search strategies seminar and agency presentations, reflecting the shared commitment of CBSUA and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur to support employment generation and career development among the youth and local communities.
