Caning wins 2nd place in PHILARM’s 3rd International RDE Management Congress

Prof. Ma. Cresilda M. Caning receives the WC Medrano 2nd Best Paper Award from the PHILARM officials.

Ma. Cresilda M. Caning of the College of Economics and Agribusiness won second place during the 3rd International RDE Management Congress and the 28th National PHILARM Convention held on July 31-August 3, 2018 at Cebu City. Prof. Caning presented her paper on“Impact of Social Capital on the Research Performance of a State University” and was adjudged the WC Medrano 2nd Best RDE Management Paper.

The award is given to original and unpublished research results or documentation of RDE management experiences that lead to improved management systems of RDE programs/projects. Its theme must focus on the theme of the conventionASEAN Integration: A New Horizon for Research, Development, and Extension Management and highlight one or more of the following: (1) Management and Control System; (2) External Linkages and Networking; and (3) Organizational Management and Support Services.

The activity was organized by the Philippine Association of Research Managers, Inc. (PHILARM) to encourage its members and other interested research, development, and extension managers to present RDE management. It also aims to strengthen the RDE management capability of PHILARM members and research organizations in the Asia Pacific Region.
