Newly-hired CBSUA employees take their OATH of Office

An Induction Training and Oathtaking of  newly-hired staff for the teaching and non-teaching staff was conducted on September 13, 2017 at the CN Divinagracia Hall with the theme, “Competent Faculty and Strong Support Staff: Prime Movers of Excellence in Agricultural Education” spearheaded by  Human Resource Development (HRD) Office in partnership with the Human Resource Management (HRM) Office.

The University President Dr.  Georgina Bordado reminded the participants  during her Opening message that "public office is a public trust." She added that the Philippine Constitution, Article XI, Section 1, declared that "Public officers and employees must, at all times, be accountable to the people, serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency; act with patriotism and justice, and lead modest lives." The Induction Training also provided the newly-hired employees the walkthroughs of the system in the Institution.

Heads of the Administrative Council and the newly-hired teaching and non-teaching participated in the ceremony. The speakers who delivered their knowledge and insights were Dr. Ramon C, Arimado, VP for Administration and Finance who presented the Organizational Structure and Key Academic and Administrative Officials and Assistants; Prof. Charlie P. Nacario, Planning Director discussed CBSUA as a Leading University of Agriculture: "It's Mission, Goals, Objectives and Core Values"; while the University’s Research and Extension Agenda was delivered by Prof Josephine F. Cruz, VPREPED; Prof. Jeniffer S. Francisco, GAD Focal Person talked about the Gender Sensitivity; Ms. Susan L. Din, HRM Officer presented the Norms of Conduct, Duties and Performance Standards; Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo, FMS Director provided information about Claiming for Salaries and other Benefits; Prof. Lora O. Panga, HRD Officer gave the importance of Understanding Learning Styles: "A Tool for Effective Lifelong Learning"; and Prof. Mea Corazon Acuña, OSAS Director in behalf of Prof. Rolando G. De Asis, VP for Academic Affairs presented the CBSUA Student Achievers and their Global Academic Experience.

During the discussion of Prof. Charlie Nacario, some of the participants were asked about their understanding of the PVMGO and the core values of the University and their significance to the community. To which, they whole heartedly answered and mutually affirmed that through education we are assured of the continuing development for human race. They also added that they share the aspiration of making CBSUA a leading University.

The Activity ended with the positive impressions given by the participants from the different campuses and the Oathtaking of the newly hired employees.
