2018 Planning and Development Workshop

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture–Office of the president, Institutional Planning and Development Office in cooperation with the office ofAccounting and Finance, General Auxiliary and Support Services and the Budget Office conducted the 2018 Investment Planning Workshop on October 16-18, 2017 at the Alvaro Rabina Hall.

The workshop generally aimed to enhance knowledge, understanding, and skills of the academic officials in strategic planning and formulate the strategic plan as an output and come up with the 2018 Work and Financial Plan (WFP) and Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) for every office or unit. The academic officials and staff deemed to understand modern principles and processes in strategic planning and to widen the reach of the strategic plan in CentralBicol, the Philippines and in the ASEAN.

The anticipated results are for all academic officials including deans and senior staffs to be equipped with strategic plan fundamentals, principles, process, and tools; To have enhanced understanding and application of the benefits of strategic plan for institutional development of CBSUA; To identify the need forCBSUA champions in each of the areas serviced by CBSUA; Understand the importance of coordination between and among academic colleges, departments and the administration in implementation of the strategic plan; and draft a strategic plan that will position CBSUA as a leading university of Agriculture in the Philippines by 2018 and in the ASEAN Region by 2024; finally to prepare detailed 2018 WFP and PPMP for every office.         

The activity was attended by CBSUA President Dr. Georgina J. Bordado, vice president for  Administration and Finance Dr. Ramon C. Arimado, Vice President for Academic Affairs Engr. Rolando G. DeAsis, Vice President for Research Extension, Production and Entrepreneurial Development Prof. Josephine F. Cruz, Campus Administrators from Sipocot, Pasacao and Calabanga campus, Directors, Deans, Chairpersons, Focal Persons and Head of Units.
