CBSUA, BISCAST LEAD CYBER SAFETY TRAINING FOR ENTREPRENEURS

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and the Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) spearheaded the Training on Cyber Safety for Entrepreneurs with the theme “Protecting Social Media Accounts and Reporting Cyber Violations” on March 14, 2025, at BISCAST, Naga City, Camarines Sur.

This initiative is part of the Cooperative Learners and Empowerment of Agricultural Responders (CLEAR) Project, which aims to serve as a unifying center that empowers communities and cooperative members to strive for excellence and competitiveness in creating partnerships. Specifically, the training aimed to capacitate the participants on the importance of social media in business, raise awareness on the increasing cybersecurity threats for entrepreneurs, and emphasize why cybersecurity is a business survival strategy.

The event was attended by members of the San Isidro Development Cooperative (SIDECO) and selected entrepreneurs with online businesses. The activity was also attended by faculty members from BISCAST-College of Arts and Science, including Rachelle A. Esguerra, Associate Professor V, and Dr. Orbel Cepeda, along with Gladys G.
Rosales from CBSUA College of Economics and Management.

The project CLEAR was spearheaded by its proponent, Romulo Caceres, Board of Directors of SIDECO. Other
