The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the College of Economics and Management (CEM), and in collaboration with the Camaligan Municipal Police Station and Zonta Club of Naga Camarines Sur, held an orientation for solo parents of Camaligan, Camarines Sur, on Safe Spaces Act No. 11313, RA 9262, agro-tourism, and women’s empowerment, on August 15, 2025, at River Park of Camaligan, Camarines Sur.
This initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Gladys G. Rosales, CEM Faculty, together with PCPT Ric R. Reginales, Acting Chief of Police, with the coordination and full support of the Local Government of Camaligan headed by Hon. Diano SJ Ibardaloza Jr., Municipal Mayor, represented by former SB member Diony Dematera.
Women’s empowerment was highlighted in this activity. Dr. Gladys G. Rosales, CEM Faculty, gave a brief discussion on Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act) and empowerment for solo parents. Enrique Antonio F. Villamor, Chairperson of Tourism and Management, and Ardolf Arce, CEM Faculty, discussed Camaligan’s potential for agritourism development. Furthermore, a comprehensive discussion on Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act) and Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (RA 9262) by Atty. Charmine Pares from the Office of the City Prosecutor โ Naga City. Additionally, Lilibeth Saavedra, CEM Faculty, was also present during the activity.
