In its steadfast commitment to ensuring institutional safety against natural hazards, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the CBSUA Resilience Center (CRC), conducted a multi-hazard scenario table-top drill on July 24, 2025.
The training was attended by CBSUA’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Teams, composed of task forces handling critical areas such as the infirmary, supply, budget, and student council. Dr. Philip N. Talay, CRC Director, opened the program with a brief discussion on the rationale of the activity, followed by his team’s comprehensive presentation on DRRM principles and practices.
The highlight of the event was the table-top drill, which aimed to assess the DRRM teams’ awareness and readiness in responding to various disaster scenarios. The exercise served as both a learning platform and a readiness evaluation for the participants.
CBSUA remains committed to strengthening resilience within its community, ensuring preparedness and effective response whenever disasters occur.
