CBSUA-CVM, DA RFO V, LGU-BULA PROVIDE VETERINARY SERVICES IN PALSONG, BULA, CAMARINES SUR

In celebration of Rabies Awareness Month, the College of Veterinary Medicine (CBSUA-CVM), the Regulatory Division of the Department of Agriculture RFO V, and the LGU of Bula conducted a Veterinary Medical Mission titled “AAAWmazing Project (Awareness, Appreciation, and Animal Welfare Promotion)” on March 12, 2025. This initiative aimed to provide high-quality veterinary healthcare services to pets in the community.

Fur parents from Barangay Palsong and neighboring barangays gathered at the covered court of Barangay Palsong, Bula, Camarines Sur, to avail of the services. The mission offered veterinary services such as consultations, anti-rabies vaccinations, spaying, and castration for their beloved pets. This initiative not only addressed animal health but also underscored its significant impact on human health and the local community.

The successful activity was spearheaded by Celestina Esteve, Agricultural Technologist of LGU Bula; Dr. Clarita Puso-Borela and Dr. Shiloh Grace Perdon, faculty members from the College of Veterinary Medicine; and Dr. Christopher Dela Cruz, President of PVMA Bicol Chapter from DA RFO V.

Beyond promoting animal welfare, this initiative also aimed to show appreciation for loyal animal companions and raise awareness about the responsibilities of pet owners in ensuring the health and well-being of their fur babies—not just during Rabies Awareness Month, but throughout the year. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘌𝘚𝘋
