CBSUA FACULTY PARTICIPATE IN STM32 AI UNIVERSITY LEARNING WORKSHOP

Faculty members from the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture – Sipocot campus proudly represented the institution at the STM32 AI University Learning Workshop organized by STMicroelectronics, Inc. held on September 23, 2025, at the ST Diamond Hall, Calamba, Laguna. The event brought together educators and industry partners from across the Philippines to deepen their knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in academic instruction and research.

CBSUA-Sipocot was represented by Prof. Salvacion A. Eje (Curriculum and Instruction Division Coordinator), Prof. Ian L. Sagario (ILDO Coordinator), Ms. Jecelyn Mae Baluro (Program Chairperson, CIT), and Engr. Oliver John Borazon (Faculty, COT). These faculty members participated in a series of in-depth training sessions focusing on AI deployment using STM32 microcontrollers and the STM32 ecosystem. Highlights of the workshop included hands-on demonstrations, STM32N6 performance showcases, AI workflow training for handwritten digit recognition, and insights into tools such as Model Zoo, Developer Cloud, and NanoEdge AI Studio.

As a vital extension of this collaboration, STMicroelectronics generously donated STM32 microcontroller kits to CBSUA-Sipocot. This donation is a significant milestone in the campus’s ongoing efforts to modernize its instructional facilities, particularly within the College of Industrial Technology (CIT). The new resources are expected to bolster the university’s Robotics initiatives, providing both faculty and students with access to state-of-the-art tools that support innovation, hands-on learning, and research in intelligent systems and automation.

CBSUA-Sipocot extends its sincere gratitude to STMicroelectronics, Inc., and especially to Ms. Jovy B. Ordonia, HR Global Talent, for her role in facilitating this meaningful engagement. This partnership reinforces the university’s mission of nurturing Life Champions and Future-Ready Professionals, ensuring that its academic community remains at the forefront of technological advancement and global competitiveness in the 21st century.  |  𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘑𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘺 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘰, 𝘗𝘐𝘖, 𝘊𝘉𝘚𝘜𝘈 – 𝘚𝘪𝘱𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘵; 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘈.
