CBSUA HOLDS COORDINATION MEETING ON EXTENSION IMPACT ASSESSMENT, BAMBOO HUB

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) conducted a coordination meeting on February 25, 2026, to discuss the impact assessment of an ongoing extension project and the planning for the proposed Bamboo Textile Hub Project in Naga City.

Organized by the university’s Research and Innovation Cluster–Extension Services Division (ESD), in collaboration with the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) – Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) Program and the Bamboo Center, the meeting gathered representatives from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Naga City Agriculture Office, and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).

Discussions focused on the impact assessment of the extension project titled “Capability Development of Farmers on Crop Productivity Enhancement,” implemented by the CANR–BSA Program in coordination with Ernesto E. Asence III, Acting City Agriculturist of Naga City, as part of the program’s preparation for the Level IV Phase II AACCUP Accreditation.

The meeting also served as a consultative session for the Bamboo Textile Hub Project of Naga City, which aims to explore the potential of bamboo resources and strengthen local bamboo-based industries. Discussions included the planning of an integrated assessment covering bamboo resources, farming systems, and industry development opportunities in the city.

Present during the meeting were CBSUA Vice President for Research and Innovation Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano, Extension Services Division Director Abigail V.
