The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) recently participated in the 18th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week, a three-day event held from August 13 to 15, 2025, at The Marison Hotel in Legazpi City, Albay. The event was hosted by the Bicol Council for Health Research and Development (BCHRD) and co-organized with the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD).
This yearโs event, themed โOne Health for All: Igniting i Solutions for a Healthier Philippines,โ brought together key officials from DOST, DOST-Bicol, and the Department of Health (DOH) to highlight collaborative efforts that aim to create evidence-based solutions for public health challenges.
The CBSUA delegation was led by Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, the University President, and Dr. Ramona Isabel Ramirez, the Vice President for Research and Innovation. They were joined by BCHRD Committee Members Dr. Celerino Llesol, Dr. Alberto Cabrera, and Mr. Jobelly Pacis. Ms. Marlene Ramos, Head of the Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit (PMEU), also served as a moderator for the PNHRS competitions.
The universityโs cultural group, the Samahan ng mga Manlilikha na Bumubuo ng Identidad at Talento (SAMBIT), also performed during the celebration.
