CBSUA KMC BENCHMARKS DA-RFO V KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT INITIATIVE

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through its Knowledge Management Center (KMC), conducted a learning visit to the Department of Agricultureโ€“Regional Field Office V (DA-RFO V) on July 14, 2026, as part of the University’s efforts to strengthen its knowledge management initiatives and institutional systems.

The benchmarking activity included visits to the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS), the DA Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Operations Center, and the Regional Technology Training Commercialization Center. During the visit, the CBSUA delegation observed DA-RFO V’s communication strategies, digital information management systems, disaster monitoring technologies, and technology commercialization initiatives.

Officials and personnel from DA-RFO V also shared their practices on managing research information, digital platforms, and knowledge-sharing systems, providing the University with insights that may support the ongoing development of the CBSUA Knowledge Management Center and the Central Knowledge Repository System.

The delegation expressed its appreciation to Dr. Maria Christina F. Campita, Chief of the Research Division, as well as the DA-RFO V personnel who facilitated the benchmarking activity, including representatives from the DRRM Operations Center, ICT Unit, Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section, and to Lorenzo L. Alvin, for sharing their experiences and best practices.
