The CBSUA NSTP-ROTC Units of Pili, Calabanga, and Pasacao Campuses held the Joint Opening of the Cadet Officer Leadership Development (COLD) Ceremony on December 14, 2025, marking the formal commencement of advanced leadership training for cadet officers across campuses.
The program opened with the assembly of participating cadets, followed by remarks from NSTP Director, Dr. Melchora V. Abonal outlining the objectives and expectations of the leadership development course. The University Commandant, Col. Ferozaldo Paul T Regencia GSC (RES) PA formally opened and cascade the COLD program for 4th Class cadets, recognizing them as the future leaders of the Corps, while a message of challenge and encouragement was delivered by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Melinda P. Pan inspiring and the same time challenging message to the cadets to embrace leadership responsibilities with integrity and dedication.
Through structured exercises, orientation sessions, and team-building activities, cadets began developing practical leadership skills essential for their roles in the Corps. Participation in this joint opening fostered collaboration between campuses, strengthened inter-unit coordination, and emphasized the importance of shared responsibility in cultivating competent and ethical leaders.
This activity underscored the relevance of experiential learning in ROTC programs, allowing cadets to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life scenarios, enhance confidence, and prepare for future command responsibilities.
