The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) led the pilot testing of its Faculty Teaching Effectiveness Evaluation System (FTEES) on April 15, 2026, at the Alvaro Rabina Hall.
Also conducted virtually and streamed to other campuses, the activity gathered campus administrators, college deans, program chairpersons, the Quality Assurance Director, and the Human Resource Management and Development Officer, making it a significant step toward strengthening the university’s academic quality assurance mechanisms through a more structured and digitalized evaluation platform.
During his message, University President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi emphasized the importance of the hybrid collaboration, noting that collective participation ensures clarity of procedures and helps prevent confusion and implementation issues in the future.
The Management Information System (MIS) Team led the live system simulation, allowing participants to navigate the platform and test its functionalities in real time, followed by an open forum where onsite and online participants shared suggestions, recommendations, and clarifications to further refine the system prior to full implementation.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Melinda Parro-Pan stressed that the system was designed to provide a transparent, outcomes-based, and data-driven approach to evaluating teaching performance. She added that CBSUA is among the first universities to institutionalize a system of this kind.
With this system, CBSUA will further enhance the transparency, efficiency, and reliability of its faculty evaluation process and instructional quality across all campuses.
