CBSUA PASACAO STRENGTHENS EMPLOYEE COMPETENCIES THROUGH IN-SERVICE TRAINING

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Pasacao Campus recently hosted a two-day in-service training program on August 14-15, 2025. The event was designed to strengthen the skills and competencies of both teaching and non-teaching personnel, underscoring the university’s dedication to professional growth and delivering high-quality education.

Held at the BSES Lecture Hall, the training featured a series of lectures from distinguished speakers. The topics were specifically chosen to address the diverse functions and responsibilities of the participants. Atty. Deonalaine Ivy P. Figura, the University Legal Officer, led a discussion on “Ethics and Accountabilities of Public Servants.” Ms. Lilibeth D. Recamarra shared insights on “Mental Wellness at Work: Building Resilience, Preventing Burnout, and Cultivating a Healthy Campus Culture.” Additionally, Associate Professor Karen B. Perez presented a lecture on “Communication: Correspondence and Proposal Development.”

The program also provided a venue to address key university policies and processes. Supervising Administrative Officer Mr. Luigi Lorenzo N. Razal spoke about University Policies, Records Management, and Key Administrative Processes. The BSED Program Chairperson, Mr. Ramon R. Monte, guided participants through Syllabus Preparation, while BSTM Program Chairperson Ms. Marielle Pedrasa conducted an orientation on the Campus Automated Management System (CAMS).

Participants responded positively to the training’s practical approach, appreciating the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues and acquire new strategies for their daily work. This initiative reflects CBSUA’s continuous commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
