CBSUA, SEARCA INKS MOA TO FORMALIZE PARTNERSHIP FOR ICEEA7 AND SHGBEE4

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) virtually signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on February 12, 2026, in preparation for the joint international conferences to be hosted by CBSUA on March 18–21, 2026.

The 7th International Conference on Education, Environment, and Agriculture (ICEEA7) and the 4th International Conference on School-Plus-Home Gardens Cum Biodiversity Enhancement and Enterprise (SHGBEE4), in collaboration with Kansas State University, aim to convene researchers, educators, policymakers, practitioners, and community stakeholders to foster knowledge exchange and collaboration in advancing biodiversity conservation, regenerative agriculture, and enterprise development.

During the program, University President, Dr. Alberto N. Naperi delivered his message, recognizing the efforts of both parties in realizing the event and advancing research on education, environment, and agriculture.

Dr. Mercidita Sombilla, Center Director of SEARCA, also delivered her message, emphasizing the need to transform platforms into solutions and demonstrating their dedication to building a resilient environment.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President for Research and Innovation Dariel M. Palmiano, Research Services Division Director Mae S.A. Lustre, campus administrators, and research coordinators from CBSUA’s four campuses. Representatives from SEARCA, led by their director, were also present.

This joint effort will help strengthen research collaboration and promote sustainable agricultural and environmental initiatives through international engagement.
