The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) warmly welcomed Grades 11 and 12 senior high school students from Rufino T. Subastil Memorial High School during their benchmarking activity held at the CBSUA Farmers Hall on January 15, 2026.
The activity aimed to introduce prospective college students to the academic programs and learning environment of the university as they prepare for higher education.
As part of the benchmarking session, Dr. Allan Del Rosario, Campus Administrator of the CBSUA Pili Campus, discussed the various programs and courses offered by the university. He highlighted the benefits of studying in a state university like CBSUA, particularly the opportunity to receive quality education through free tuition, as well as the institutionโs strong focus on instruction, research, and extension services.
In addition, Rosario Garol, CBSUA Admission Office Director, discussed the universityโs various scholarship opportunities and financial assistance programs available to the students, to help make quality higher education more accessible to qualified learners.
Dr. Del Rosario further emphasized that CBSUA continues to strengthen its academic offerings and facilities to ensure that students are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed in their chosen fields, while remaining accessible to learners from different backgrounds.
According to Lawrence Jay Hernandez, a Grade 11 GAS student of RTSMHS, the benchmarking activity provided a clearer view of college life and the opportunities available at CBSUA. Hernandez shared, adding that the discussion and campus visit helped him become more confident in choosing a university for his future studies.
