In celebration of World Mental Health Month, the Office of Student Affairs and Services – Guidance and Counseling Unit, in collaboration with various Student Organizations, conducted a seminar entitled, “LOGGED IN: Seminar on Responsible Social Media Content and Cyber Safety” on October 27, 2025, at the Audio-Visual Room, Student Center.
This initiative formed part of the Guidance and Counseling Unit’s advocacy to promote digital responsibility and psychosocial well-being among students. Recognizing that online experiences significantly affect one’s mental health, the activity aimed to raise awareness about responsible social media use, digital ethics, and cyber safety encouraging students to create healthier online interactions and manage the psychological impact of digital exposure.
The seminar featured Ms. Lianne Julia Pasiona, LLB, LPT, from the Legal Office of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), as the guest speaker. Ms. Pasiona delivered an informative and engaging discussion on the legal and ethical dimensions of social media use, including issues surrounding cyberbullying, data privacy, online harassment, and digital footprints. She also emphasized the importance of understanding the legal consequences of online behavior and the need for self-regulation, respect, and empathy in virtual spaces. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘖𝘚𝘈𝘚-𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘵
