To ensure the safety of the academic community, a comprehensive bomb-sweeping operation was conducted at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Pili Campus on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
The preventive security measure was carried out by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Bomb Squad in close coordination with the CBSUA Security Unit and the CBSUA Resilience Center (CRC). The operation comes as a final preparation for the university’s week-long Intramurals, which is expected to draw a large volume of student-athletes, officials, and spectators.
The sweep covered all key venues designated for the sporting events and ceremonies. Utilizing standard explosive detection protocols and systematic inspection procedures, the security teams ensured that all areas are cleared and secure prior to the start of the festivities.
