The CBSUA Research Services Division successfully conducted its Research and Development (R&D) Proposal Review for 2025 Funding and Implementation on March 20-21, 2025, at the Quality Assurance Hub and Training Center, Pili Campus.
The two-day event aimed to evaluate research proposals that align with the university’s goals and objectives. Proposals from faculty researchers were categorized by campus and theme. On March 20, proposals from Sipocot Campus were reviewed, focusing on Education and Curricular Reform, and Food Safety, Security, and Agricultural Innovation. The following day, proposals from Pili, Pasacao, and Calabanga Campuses were reviewed, focusing on Education and Curricular Reform, and Environmental Management.
The proposals were meticulously reviewed by the respective Technical Working Groups (TWGs). The TWGs consisted of experts in their respective fields, including Marilyn B. Balderas and Julius L. De Villa for Food Safety, Security, and Agricultural Innovation; Charlie P. Nacario and Glenn Redecilla for Education and Curricular Reform; and Hanilyn A. Hidalgo, Gertrudis Girlie C. Jaucian, and Celerino Llesol Jr. for Environmental Management.
The R&D Proposal Review is a significant step towards advancing research and development in the Bicol region, addressing pressing issues in education, food security, environmental management, and more. This event demonstrates CBSUA’s commitment to promoting research and development as a key driver of innovation and progress.
