CBSUA HRMO ONBOARDS NEWLY-HIRED, RECLASSIFIED, PROMOTED HUMAN RESOURCE WITH TWO-DAY INDUCTION SEMINAR, OATH-TAKING CEREMONY

Last February 8 and 9, 2023, the Human Resource Management and Development office, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President of Administration and Finance, hosted the Induction Seminar and Oath Taking Ceremony of the 119 newly hired, promoted, and reclassified teaching and non-teaching human resource at the Alvaro Rabina Hall (CBSUA Auditorium). 

The ceremony began with a processional followed by the entrance of colors by the CBSUA Pili ROTC and the Philippine National Anthem. As the event started, Rev. Fr. Rolando E. Canonce led the invocation prayer to ask for guidance from the Almighty. Atty. Dominador F. Faurillo welcomed the participants to the Induction Seminar and Oath Taking Ceremony and congratulated the newly hired, promoted, and reclassified teaching and non-teaching human resource. President Alberto N. Naperi, DPA, reminded the participants of their significance in achieving the institution’s mission, vision, and goals. He also noted the great responsibility of being in government service. The message of the university president ended with welcoming the newly hired, promoted, and reclassified teaching and non-teaching human resource to the university. After hearing the message of the university president, the participants took their oath of office and sang the CBSUA Hymn.

The newly-hired, promoted, and reclassified teaching and non-teaching human resource were also given a certificate to congratulate them on their appointments which is also a way to welcome them to the university.

After the Oath Taking ceremony, Ms. Katrina G. Gepilano, the ISO vice chairperson, gave a talk regarding the Integrated Management System. She was followed by Mr. Emerson L. Bergonio, who shared the Roadmap to Research University. After the series of talks, the participants were given their lunch.

In the afternoon, the event continued at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Lecture Hall, where only the newly hired teaching and non-teaching human resource were the participants. In the afternoon, Ms. Resurreccion A. Bulaong, the Division Chief of the GSIS Naga, shared the different GSIS Benefits a member can avail of. The talk on the different GSIS Benefits was continued by Ms. Rowena R. Estavila, Staff Officer II of the Special Business Unit of the GSIS Naga, who shared about the Non-Life Insurance of the GSIS. The day ended with the talk of Ms. Jessica Cielo T. Cainto, a representative of Pag-IBIG Naga, who shared about the different Pag-IBIG Benefits and programs, as well as answered the queries of the participants regarding the topic.

Day two of the Induction Seminar began with acquainting the participants with the core programs of the university as well as with the University Administrative Council. After this, Mr. Philip N. Talay, Ph.D., continued with the discussion on IMS, specifically Environmental Management Systems. Mr. Luigi Lorenzo N. Razal, the university HRMDO, shared about the policies on Recruitment, Selection, and Placement as well as Learning and Development. He also shared about the University Benefits.

In the afternoon, the talks began with a discussion by Ms. Anamarie A. Del Carmen on Performance Management and was followed by Mr. Erick T. Aguimatang, who discussed the policy on Rewards and Recognition. The Induction Seminar and Oath Taking Ceremony concluded with the closing remarks of the Campus Administrative Officer, Mr. Ramon C. Arimado, DPA, who shared the importance of perseverance and work ethics.
