The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Resilience Center, in coordination with the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (PECU) EOD/K9 Group, conducted the Awareness on Bombs that Kills and Destroys (ABKD) Program on March 3โ4, 2026, across the CBSUA Pili campus, including the Evacuation Center, College of Development Education (CDE), and the Student Atrium.
Aimed at providing legal orientation, threat response protocols, and preventive awareness, the activity helped ensure the safety and preparedness of the university community across all four CBSUA campuses and served as a proactive security measure in response to recent bomb threat incidents reported at several State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the Bicol Region.
Speakers from the PNP Bomb Squad, led by Police Senior Master Sergeant Ryan Dominguez, conducted technical briefings on how to recognize suspicious objects, follow standard bomb threat procedures, and implement safety measures to reduce risks on campus. The participants were also guided on the importance of promptly reporting threats, staying calm during emergencies, and adhering to established security protocols.
The initiative demonstrates CBSUAโs commitment to campus safety and resilience, ensuring that students, faculty, and staff are prepared for potential threats. Awareness seminars for the remaining three campuses are scheduled for a later date.
