The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) held a training on how to organize a community garden on January 25, 2025, at Bagong Sirang, Pili, Camarines Sur.
In partnership with the LGU Pili – Municipal Agriculturist Office (MAO) and BLGU Bagong Sirang Pili, the activity seeks to capacitate the participants on the step-by-step process of organizing a community garden.
Under the Youngsters Project of the CBSUA College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), the activity also aims to empower the youth to engage and venture into the agricultural aspects.
The event was attended by the students and out-of-school youths of Barangay Bagong Sirang, Pili who showed interest in engaging in agriculture. Further, the participants were encouraged to share and disseminate the knowledge they acquired during the activity.
Present during the activity, from the MAO-LGU Pili Organic Agriculture Production Focal Person, Rodel M. Garbeles, from the BLGU Bagong Sirang, on behalf of the Barangay Chairman, Hon. Bernardo T. Macauyam, present is Hon. Rosendo Allan San Juan. Also, Brgy. Kagawad and the Committee on Agriculture, Hon. Dominic F. Aguilar, the faculty from CANR, Abigail V. Guinoo (proponent of the Youngsters Project), and Nestor L.
