CBSUA PARTICIPATES IN 2ND QUARTER NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL

To reinforce the preparedness of the community to any earthquake emergency scenarios, the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture, led by the Resilience Center, participated in the 2nd Quarter Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on June 8, 2023.

The bell rang at exactly 9:00 AM, which signalled the start of the drill. Employees and students observed the ‘duck, cover, and hold’ position in the offices and buildings. They then evacuated to the designated evacuation areas. Youth volunteers from the Philippine Red Cross, roamed in and out of the buildings to check for casualties and provided first aid to the victims they spotted in the scenes.

The drill showed the commitment of the community to emergency preparedness. This drill is part of the University’s proactive steps in ensuring the safety and security of the community.
