The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) and Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology (BISCAST) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Gender Mainstreaming in Instruction, Research, and Extension on October 23, 2025, at the Office of the BISCAST President.
The MOA aims to strengthen collaboration between the two state universities in promoting gender-responsive initiatives across academic, research, and community development programs through the CBSUA Regional Gender and Development Resource Centerโs (RGADRC) existing program, the We Care Together: Community GAD Modeling Program.
The CBSUA RGADRC was led by Dr. Glenn E. Redecilla, GAD Director, together with the Project Heads โ Prof. Leizel Manacob, Engr. Dulce Maria Abigail Jastio, Prof. Sherwin Baja, Prof. Julie Amara Bondilles, Prof. David Mark Diaz, and Mr. Gochoel Bermas, GAD staff. Representing BISCAST were its newly elected SUC President II, Dr. Charlie P. Nacario, its GAD Focal person Prof. Faye Sharon Almendral, and Dr. Amante Ama.
The meeting was especially meaningful as the newly appointed BISCAST President, Dr. Nacario, is a longstanding member of the CBSUA academic community as one of its valued faculty, making the collaboration between BISCAST and CBSUA both symbolic and inspiring.
Through this partnership, both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to advancing gender equality and inclusivity in higher education. |
