CBSUA-NSTP LEADS POST-TYPHOON UWAN CAMPUS CLEAN-UP, REHABILITATION ACTIVITY

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-National Service Training Program (CBSUA-NSTP) Pili Office, in collaboration with CBSUA Resilience Center (CRC), LGU-Pili, and student organizations, conducted Project Linig-Bangon: A Post-Typhoon Uwan Clean-Up and Rehabilitation Initiative at CBSUA–Pili, on November 16, 2025.

The activity primarily mobilized NSTP Faculty, Training Staff, and Cadet Officers to address the widespread debris and environmental damage brought by Typhoon Uwan. Anchored on the NSTP flagship project NSTP CLEAN, the initiative aimed to restore campus cleanliness, support environmental rehabilitation, and strengthen civic responsibility and disaster response involvement among NSTP students. Various teams undertook tasks such as clearing fallen debris, declogging drainage pathways, removing waste obstructions, and assisting utility personnel in campus recovery efforts. The activity was supported by DRRO & VMU, Physical Plant Development and Services (PPDS)–Utility Unit and student organizations Disaster Response and Recovery Operation Unit (DRROU), Red Cross Youth Council (CRCYC – PIli), and the Gryphon.

Through this initiative, participants gained a deeper appreciation of environmental responsibility, teamwork, and community resilience in post-disaster situations. The project strengthened their awareness of the importance of civic engagement and enhanced their capacity to contribute to sustainable recovery efforts, aligning with the NSTP mandate under RA 9163. Overall, Project Linig-Bangon successfully met its objectives by restoring affected campus areas, fostering youth involvement in rehabilitation activities, and reinforcing CBSUA’s commitment to environmental sustainability and nation-building. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮: 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘳.
