The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture proudly congratulates Bicol Young Farmers – CBSUA Chapter members William S. Boregas, Althea O. Atento, and Angel D. Jastio for earning a place in Phase 2 of the Safe and Sound Cities (S²Cities) – Naga Youth Innovation Fellowship Program, implemented by the WE Solve Foundation, Inc.
Their project, “Revitalizing Green Spaces: Establishment of a Community Nature Park for Bird and Pollinator Sanctuary,” distinguished itself through a competitive, multi-stage selection process that included the screening of concept notes, assessment of feasibility and community impact, and the shortlisting of the Top 25 youth innovation teams across Naga City.
During the second round, the team successfully presented and defended their proposal in the panel presentation and interview held on November 16, 2025, at the City Mayor’s Office. They impressed the evaluators with their strong environmental vision and community-centered approach.
Their initiative advances biodiversity conservation and promotes nature-based urban solutions that contribute to a safer, greener, and more inclusive Naga City. CBSUA celebrates their achievement and commends their leadership in youth-driven environmental innovation.
In the succeeding phase, the team will take part in structured capacity-building sessions and collaborate with pertinent City Government Offices. Their innovation may also be evaluated for potential implementation in Naga City.
