The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) successfully concluded its ISO first surveillance audit and was formally recommended by TÜV Rheinland for the reissuance of its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certificate during the closing program held on November 24, 2025, via Zoom.
The initial phase of the surveillance audit ran from November 5 to 7, 2025, covering CBSUA’s Calabanga, Pasacao, and Sipocot campuses. Meanwhile, due to the inclement weather brought by Typhoon Uwan, the Pili Campus audit was rescheduled and conducted online on November 24.
During the closing meeting, Lead Auditor Ms. Maribeth Lucañas presented the consolidated audit findings and recommendations. The team concluded that CBSUA maintains a sound and effective quality management system despite minor non-conformities noted. And due to changes in scope, TÜV Rheinland recommended awarding a new certificate.
On behalf of CBSUA President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, Vice President for Administration and Finance Atty. Dominator F. Faurillo expressed gratitude to university officials, process owners, and participants for their cooperation, despite the challenges brought by Typhoon Uwan and intermittent power interruptions. “The university acknowledges several opportunities for improvement identified during the audit and is committed to addressing them to ensure better results in future audits,” Atty. Faurillo added.
The next surveillance audit is scheduled for December 13, 2026.
Congratulations to the entire CBSUA community for this continued milestone in strengthening quality assurance and service excellence!
