The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA)-Sipocot Campus conducted a series of coordination meetings with government agencies and private stakeholders in Sipocot and Lupi, Camarines Sur, on July 10 and 17, 2026, to establish partnerships for the implementation of the DOST-National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) QUADTalk Project on regenerative agroforestry and digital agriculture.
Leading the activity was Campus Research Coordinator Mr. Dick Harence Dela Vega, together with Dr. Darrel M. Ocampo, Dean of the College of Education; Prof. Rhea C. Padayao, faculty researcher; Jenneth Cabanos, Director of the Cacao Center; and Ms. Ailyne F. Armenta, researcher, with the approval of Campus Administrator Prof. Rowel M. Castuera.
Among the key activities was a meeting with Municipal Agriculturist Engr. F.C. Leonardo of Sipocot, where discussions focused on integrating digital technologies into local farming systems. The team also visited the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), where EOC Head and Incident Commander Mr. Orly Cirujales expressed the office’s support by providing technical assistance in identifying and assessing potential project sites.
The delegation likewise paid a courtesy visit to the Local Government Unit of Lupi, where they met with Mayor Hon. Jacinto, the Municipal Engineer, a Municipal Councilor, and representatives of the Municipal Environment Office. Discussions centered on potential areas of collaboration in implementing the project and supporting sustainable agricultural initiatives within the municipality.
A visit to MAGEL Farm concluded the series of stakeholder engagements. The farm owner expressed interest in supporting the project by making the site available for research, extension, and technology demonstration activities.
