Local and international delegates gathered at the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Main Campus on March 18–21, 2026, for the ICEEA 7 and SHGBEE 4: CBSUA–SEARCA Joint International Conference 2026, co-organized by CBSUA and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA).
Anchored on the theme “Policy Pathways to a Sustainable Future: Mainstreaming Biodiversity, Agri-Ecotourism, and Disaster Resilience,” the conference brought together experts, researchers, policymakers, and development practitioners from across the globe for plenary sessions, paper presentations, and knowledge-sharing activities focused on sustainability and environmental governance.
As part of the pre-conference activities, delegates participated in simultaneous two-day mobile workshops held on March 18–19, 2026, across selected sites in Camarines Sur. The field activities provided participants with firsthand exposure to biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, and environmental management initiatives in the province.
Among the sites visited were the Cabusao Wetlands Critical Habitat, Mt. Isarog National Park, Daruanak Island, and the Pawikan Nest and Fish Sanctuary. These visits highlighted ongoing conservation efforts and demonstrated how local stakeholders work together to protect and manage natural resources.
Delegates also visited partner institutions and community sites, including San Isidro Elementary School, Naga View Adventist College, and Panicuason Hot Spring Resort and Adventure Park, where they observed collaborative environmental and educational initiatives at the grassroots level.
The mobile workshops complemented the conference sessions at the CBSUA Main Campus, supporting the university’s commitment to linking research, policy, and community engagement toward sustainable development.
