The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) hosted representatives from the Bureau of Plant Industry Los Baños National Crop Research, Development and Production Support Center (BPI-LBNCRDPSC) for a benchmarking visit and partnership exploration activity on May 21, 2026.
The activity focused on benchmarking the University’s Regional Agriculture Center, Organic Agriculture Center, and Agriville Hub, particularly in relation to initiatives related to technology transfer, agri-tourism, and seed and seedling production systems.
Part of the visit also included a seed and seedling distribution activity, where participants observed CBSUA’s established practices and facilities that support sustainable agricultural production and community-based extension initiatives.
The benchmarking activity forms part of BPI’s “Upscaling Adoption of S&S Plaza Innovations Towards SciCAT Farm Replication” initiative, which aims to strengthen agricultural innovation and promote the replication of successful farm tourism and technology transfer models in other communities.
