UBAO STRENGTHENS PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS

The University Business Affairs Office (UBAO) recently convened its first general meeting on October 29, 2025, at the CBSUA SWKS Conference Room, bringing together the campus administration and local business owners occupying stalls and 7th-door spaces at the Pili Campus. The meeting, led by Campus Administrator Dr. Allan B. Del Rosario, served as a vital platform to discuss campus policies and guidelines relevant to on-site business operations.

Key campus officials participated in the discussion, including Prof. Phillip Talay, Director of the CRC; Engr. Joshua Belarmino, Planning Officer; and Mr. Alvir Bausa, In-Charge of Maintenance and Utility Services. The session, facilitated by UBAO Director Gladys G. Rosales, gathered a total of 44 participants. One of the significant outcomes of the meeting was the formal organization of the group and the election of its first set of officers.

The newly elected officers are as follows: Marilyn A. Siguenza (President), Christopher N. Laurel (Vice President), Margie P. Oco (Secretary), Joeycelyn G. Jane (Treasurer), Marivic R. Endaya (Auditor), and Fernando V. Abonal (Public Information Officer). The elected Business Managers are Maribuen T. Castillo and Hector G. Royales.

Through this initiative and the establishment of the association, UBAO aims to strengthen its partnership with business stakeholders by fostering collaboration, promoting sustainable income opportunities, and supporting the growth of the local business community within the campus. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘔𝘴.
