The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) conducted a Learning Session on “Making Ideas Real: Lessons from a Visiting Foreign Expert” on January 27, 2026, to inspire Agribusiness students to turn their ideas into practical and workable business concepts.
The session was led by the Office of the Vice President for Business and External Affairs through the Resource Generation Office, headed by Director Immaculate Falabi. It aimed to equip students with real-world perspectives on entrepreneurship, particularly in agriculture and small enterprise development.
Participants included Agribusiness students under the guidance of Mr. Emilio Ibarbia, Program Chairperson of the Agribusiness Program, as well as Resource Generation Office coordinators from the Pasacao, Calabanga, and Sipocot campuses.
The resource speaker, Mr. Jaroslav Hajn of the Czech Republic, is a co-owner of Inflore, a garden center and winery in his home country. Drawing from his personal journey as an entrepreneur, Mr. Hajn shared practical lessons on starting a small business or farm in real life, refining students’ business ideas, understanding why farming has a strong future, and using social media as a powerful tool for small businesses.
Through open discussions and real-life examples from his own experience, Mr. Hajn encouraged students to reflect on their reasons for starting a business, pursue work they truly love, and see agriculture as a promising and sustainable career path.
