The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) community welcomed home its pride, the CBSUA Chorale, during the flag-raising ceremony held today, March 9, 2026, in recognition of the group’s outstanding performance at the Korea International Choir Competition held at the Songdo Campus of Incheon National University in Incheon, South Korea.
The chorale brought honor to the University and the country after winning the Gold Award – Category Winner in the Pop and Jazz category and the Silver Award in the Mixed Choir category. The group was also hailed as a Top 8 finalist in the 2026 KICC Grand Prix Finals.
During the ceremony, the CBSUA Chorale performed its winning piece, 𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘺, arranged by Gerard Dela Peña, which was presented during the 2026 KICC Grand Prix Finals.
University President Alberto N. Naperi extended his congratulations to the winning team, commending the members for bringing pride and recognition to the University through their remarkable achievements in the international competition.
