The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), conducted a Pre-Retirement Seminar on April 23, 2026, at the Main Gathering Hall of the Student Center, Pili Campus, to guide employees nearing retirement on government benefits, policies, and post-service life planning.
The seminar equipped participants with updated information on retirement laws, financial entitlements, and transition preparation as they approach the end of their public service careers.
University President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi emphasized the importance of early financial planning and responsible decision-making, reminding employees to prepare not only administratively but also personally for life after government service.
Representatives from the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) discussed key provisions of Republic Act 8291, including retirement benefit options, claims procedures, and recent policy updates.
Additional sessions focused on retirement readiness and wellness, covering life planning, health management, and mental and emotional adjustment to ensure a smooth transition beyond active employment.
The activity is part of the university’s continuing efforts to support employees as they prepare for retirement.
