CBSUA SCREENS 64 R&D PROPOSALS IN TWO-DAY REVIEW

The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA), through its Research Services Division (RSD), conducted a two-day Research and Development (R&D) Proposal Review on April 22–23, 2026, via Zoom, to evaluate submissions for the 2026 institutional research funding.

A total of 64 proposals from faculty and non-teaching researchers across the four campuses were reviewed under four thematic areas: Bicol Development and Policy Studies, Education and Curricular Reforms, Environmental Management, and Food Safety, Livelihood Security, and Agricultural Innovations.

On day 1, 36 proposals under Education and Curricular Reforms were assessed in two parallel sessions, with Session 1 facilitated by Prof. Ramona Isabel S. Ramirez and Prof. Arthur B. Estrella, and Session 2 facilitated by Prof. Ana E. Miraña and Prof. Darrel M. Ocampo.

Meanwhile, day 2 covered 28 proposals, with Prof. Emerson L. Bergonio and Prof. Ma. Cresilda M. Caning leading the review of studies under Bicol Development and Policy Studies and Environmental Management, while Prof. Marilyn B. Balderas and Prof. Julius L. De Villa evaluated proposals on Food Safety, Livelihood Security, and Agricultural Innovations.

Each session ended with detailed recommendations from the Technical Working Groups to further refine the proposals and ensure alignment with the university’s research priorities.

The review forms part of CBSUA’s continuing efforts to strengthen its research culture and sharpen its institutional research direction for 2026. | 𝘙𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘙𝘚𝘋
