The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Graduate School, in collaboration with the Research Services Division and the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation, conducted a workshop titled “Publish, Profile and Progress: A Comprehensive Workshop on Research Publication, Profiling and Institutional Recognition for Graduate School” on May 24, 2026, at the Ciriaco N. Divinagracia Hall.
The activity gathered graduate students and research enthusiasts for learning sessions focused on research publication, academic profiling, copyright registration, and institutional research visibility.
Among the topics discussed were setting up Google Scholar and ORCID accounts, exploring Scopus-indexed publication opportunities for graduate students, copyright registration processes, NRCP associate membership, and the role of research publication in university rankings.
Resource speakers included Ms. Rochel R. Petil, Prof. Marlene A. Ramos, Prof. Shela V. Ruiz, and Prof. Jobely A. Pacis, who shared practical insights on research visibility, intellectual property protection, professional engagement, and academic competitiveness.
Dr. Dariel A. Palmiano, Vice President for Research and Innovation, opened the program by emphasizing the importance of research dissemination and academic collaboration in strengthening the University’s research culture. Dr. Kennedy A. Beltran of the Graduate School also delivered a message highlighting the role of scholarly publication in advancing institutional excellence and global academic presence.
