CBSUA-PILI NSTP-CWTS HOLDS CAMPUS-BASED CULMINATING ACTIVITIES

The National Service Training Program – Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) students of the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) – Pili Campus concluded the semester through a series of culminating activities conducted on May 24, 2026, within the University campus.

The activities showcased various student-led initiatives focused on public health awareness, environmental stewardship, waste management, and community engagement. Among the highlighted activities were “PAWsitive Care: Rabies Awareness and Prevention Education” of the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), featuring Dr. Joseph Martin G. Jarcia as resource speaker; “TAMBOAKAN (TApunan ng mga BOARders sa KANto)” project on proper waste management; and “KALINGA AT KAALAMAN” of the College of Economics and Management (CEM), which provided educational and recreational activities for children.

Students from the College of Education and the College of Arts and Sciences also conducted the “CWTS Safe Space and Laro ng Kabataan” initiative, while the College of Engineering, Food Science and Technology, and Agriculture and Natural Resources spearheaded “Project PALDO,” which included a clean-up drive, seedlings production, waste management awareness, and a seminar on organic fertilizer production led by MC Wilson O. Decena, R.Agr.

Campus-wide Clean and Green initiatives focusing on nursery maintenance, clean-up drives, and environmental protection were likewise carried out as part of the culminating activities.

With the different projects and activities, NSTP-CWTS students demonstrated the value of volunteerism, teamwork, and community involvement by translating classroom learning into meaningful service initiatives within the University campus.
