The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) strengthened its pool of internal auditors through an Internal Auditors Training on August 26, 2026, at CND Hall, in preparation for the university’s ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) Internal Audit scheduled in the first week of September.
The training aimed to prepare designated auditors for the upcoming university-wide audit by enhancing their understanding of internal audit processes, documentation, audit reporting, and the responsibilities involved in assessing the university’s quality management system.
Vice President for Academic Affairs and ISO Chairperson Dr. Melinda Parro-Pan delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of the auditors’ role in maintaining the university’s commitment to quality and continual improvement.
University Lead Auditor Dr. Rosa Ubano-Cid led the discussion on internal audit management, providing participants with guidance on the proper conduct and management of audit activities. Campus Lead Auditors Richard G. Castor and Reggie B. Capistrano also handled sessions on audit reporting and related audit procedures.
The activity also included discussions and workshop exercises designed to familiarize participants with the actual requirements and processes they will encounter during the September internal audit.
The said training ensures that its internal audit team is equipped to objectively assess the implementation of its QMS, identify areas for improvement, and support the university’s continuing efforts toward quality and effective service delivery.
