The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) showcased innovative research and extension initiatives aimed at addressing community needs and promoting sustainable development during Day 2 of HIRAYA 2026: Pitch. Present. Inspire. on October 20, 2026, at the university in Pili, Camarines Sur.

Anchored on the theme β€œPitching Transformative Solutions for Sustainable Futures,” the second day of HIRAYA featured CBSUA REACH 2026: Research and Extension Action for Communities and Humanity, highlighting research and extension programs and projects developed by the university’s Vice President for Research and Innovation (VPRI) Cluster.

CBSUA REACH 2026 provided a platform for faculty members, researchers, and extension personnel to present innovative, community-responsive initiatives that address development concerns in agriculture, livelihood, education, culture, climate action, veterinary services, gender and development, and community empowerment.

The event also encouraged the exchange of ideas, constructive feedback, and collaboration among academic institutions, local government units, national government agencies, communities, and other stakeholders. These partnerships were expected to help identify promising initiatives for institutional support, adoption, and potential scaling to create meaningful and lasting community impact.

As part of the broader HIRAYA 2026 celebration, the activity underscored CBSUA’s commitment to translating research and innovation into practical solutions that benefit communities. By providing a venue for presenting and refining project concepts, the university aims to strengthen the relevance, effectiveness, and sustainability of its research and extension programs.

HIRAYA 2026 runs until October 21, carrying the call to β€œPitch. Present. Inspire.”
